Interlock system

The interlock system is an access control method between two automatic doors electronically connected to each other, so that one can open only if the other is closed.

In a hospital environment, medical consultation rooms, pharmaceutical facilities, the interlock system is used to separate departments and isolation areas safely and hygienically, and to prevent unauthorized persons from entering.
The principle of operation provides for the opening of the first door when the user activates the external opening device to enter the internal area.
The second door can only be opened after the first door is closed, activating its internal opening device.

Interlock for automatic sliding doors

Items required for basic operation of the interlock system: 

1. Digital selector ET-DSEL or T-NFC installed on each door.
2. Opening devices: choose between touch sensors or buttons to allow all users to open. To allow only authorized personnel to open, choose badge readers or keypads (see “General Sensors and Accessories”).
3. Signaling light for door status signaling (item T-LED or code V00175); green light with closed doors on both signaling lights, red light on closed door if the other door is opened. For signaling light management, an additional module UR24/E is required for each automation (optional).
4. Safety sensors to be provided for.
5. Emergency door release button.
6. Interlock override ON/OFF switch, to allow independent operation of the two doors (item V00148).

 

Interlock for automatic swing doors

Items required for basic operation of the interlock system:

1. Digital selector installed on each door: ET-DSEL or T-NFC for NEXT and NEPTIS PLUS.
2. Opening devices: choose between touch sensors or buttons to allow all users to open. Choose badge readers or keypads to allow only authorized personnel to open (see “General Sensors and Accessories”).
3. Signaling lights for door state signaling (item T-LED or code V00175). Green light with closed doors on both signaling lights, red light on closed door if the other door is opened. For signaling light management, a module UR2/E is required for each automation of type NEXT.
4. Door closing electromagnet or alternatively electric strikes requiring the provision of a lock with latch.
5. Emergency door release button.
6. Interlock override ON/OFF switch, to allow independent operation of the two doors (code V00148).
7. Safety sensors to be provided for.
